What is FrogTape used for?
FrogTape® is a pro painter’s masking tape and the only tape treated with PaintBlock® Technology. FrogTape was designed for use with latex paints. PaintBlock reacts with the water in latex paints to form a micro-barrier along the edges of the tape. This makes FrogTape more resistant to paint bleeding.
How long should you leave FrogTape on for?
FrogTape®Delicate-Surface during preparation can be removed without leaving a residue for up to 60 days. We recommend that you remove masking tape immediately after you are finished painting to reduce the risk of tearing fresh paint.
Is FrogTape better?
Trim and Windows: Green tape is good for covering trim edges for wall painting, but not fresh paint because it can lift paint from the surface when pulled off. FrogTape also performs better than the Scotch brand for masking glass on wood windows, especially if it’s cold outside.
Do you take FrogTape off when paint is wet or dry?
Remove the tape while the paint is still wet for the best results. Depending on what FrogTape® product you use, check how long your tape can stay up. Pull the tape off slowly at a 45-degree angle. If you hear ripping noises, it means you’re going too fast.
What’s the difference between green and blue FrogTape?
When painting wood window frames, green tape perform better than blue tape. The tack strength keeps the tape from sticking to glass, especially in cold weather. When you are ready to remove green tape, exercise care because it may be stronger than most tape, but it can still rip when removed.

Is Frog Tape better than masking tape?
I found Frog Tape to actually be a bit stronger than most of the masking tapes I have used in the past, but it wasn’t completely immune to ripping. If the tape was about 10-20% more rip resistant, I’d likely consider it the perfect masking tape.
