Thanks to users’ support throughout the years, we think we were able to achieve that goal. We decided to end the service at this time because, among other reasons, many users are shifting to social networking services.
Is Miiverse discontinued?
On November 7th, 2017 at 10:00pm Pacific Time the Miiverse service was discontinued. We thank you very much for your amazing support over the years. Miiverse can no longer be accessed from: Wii U consoles.
What did Miiverse do?
Miiverse was a social media platform that was a part of the Nintendo Network, Nintendo’s online gaming service, which allowed players to communicate with one another. Miiverse was launched on November 18, 2012 on the Nintendo Wii U, on April 24, 2013 for the browsers and December 9, 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.
How do I find my old Miiverse posts?
Since the death of the Wii U basically Miiverse also died with it and discontinued. there’s no way to retrieve or view your old posts there. Or is it? Luckily Nintendo put out an Archive for the fans of Miiverse or Wii U users!
Why was Miitomo shut down?
At the same time, we’ve seen the number of ongoing users for the app decrease. We have decided to discontinue this service so that we can better optimize our operational resources across our entire smart device business.
